The match between Elina Svitolina and the American tennis player at the Australian Open 2025 lasted 1 hour and 14 minutes. Svitolina showed an advantage in the first game, which she closed with a score of 6:1. The Ukrainian won the second set 6-4. 

Elina Svitolina’s next opponent will be the winner of the match between Italian Jasmine Paolini and Mexican Renata Sarasua.

It is worth noting that Elina Svitolina won her first Grand Slam victory back in 2013. She has won the most victories at Roland Garros — thirty.

As a reminder, Svitolina had a successful start at the Grand Slam earlier. In addition to her, another Odesa tennis player, Diana Yastremska, reached the third round of the Australian Open.
