Odesa received UAH 57.7 million of state subsidies from the state budget for the purchase of housing for family-type homes relocated from frontline areas. The City Hall will use this money to purchase apartments for them.

This decision was made on October 25 at a session of the Odesa City Council.

The deputies made the appropriate changes to the city's housing program for orphans and large families.

The decision was made unanimously and without discussion.

It should be noted that these are six family-type homes. They moved to Odesa from the Donetsk, Luhansk and Kherson regions.

It should be reminded that in total, 12 premises for orphanages will be purchased in the Odesa region by the end of the year, in which 105 children are being raised.

Displaced people in the Odesa region

It should be noted that, according to the Odesa RMA, 140 thousand displaced people live in the region. These are mostly people who moved from Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia regions, as well as from Donbas. In the city of Odesa itself, as of September 1 of this year, 130,34 internally displaced people were registered.

It should be reminded that the Cabinet of Ministers approved a pilot project to provide subsidies for internally displaced people to pay for housing rent. It also became known how many displaced people were below the poverty line.
