A rare NATO reconnaissance aircraft near the Odesa borders
The E-7T Peace Eagle long-range radar surveillance aircraft is conducting reconnaissance over the coast of Romania. Its mission is not yet known. Such aircraft are used for reconnaissance, although they can also be used for civilian purposes.
Novyny.LIVE found out about this from the Flightradar portal.
What is known about the aircraft
This is an aircraft with the call sign HVK42, which is part of the Turkish Air Force. The country has four such aircraft in service. The aircraft is equipped with a radar detection and guidance complex that detects objects for targeting, for example, missiles, and also coordinates the actions of allied forces and related tasks. Similar systems are designed for reconnaissance and air combat control, but can also be used to control civil air traffic.
It should be noted that NATO fighter jets took to the skies near the borders of the Odesa region. An American Poseidon patrol aircraft was also spotted near the coast of the region.
