Over the past day, the Ukrainian Navy has disabled three Russian air defense systems. These are two Pantsyr S-1 anti-aircraft missile systems and the Wasp anti-aircraft missile system.

This was reported by the Navy on Monday, January 6.

What is known

The Navy says that one of the Pantsyrs was hit while on duty at a combat position in Kherson region. The Ukrainian drone struck directly at the cockpit with the air defense system operators. Until the strike, the system did not react to the drone's approach.

"The Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, together with units of other components of the Defense Forces, continue to destroy the enemy on land, at sea and in the air," the statement said.

It should be noted that Pantsyr-S1 is used for close protection of objects from air attack. It can protect an object against ground and surface threats. The Wasp system is used to cover ground forces and is the most common air defense system in the occupying army.

As a reminder, the Ukrainian military struck a building with the Russian military in the Kursk region. Ukrainian drones also attacked an oil depot near Smolensk.
