Russian agent was arrested for aiming rockets at Mykolaiv

A resident of Mykolaiv gave the Russians information about the location of the Armed Forces. He did not hide his pro-Russian orientation and openly waited for the occupation of the region. Now he is threatened with a long prison term.

What is known about the agent

According to the investigation, the 43-year-old man voluntarily left the military unit in which he served in 2014. Then the court imposed a fine on him. After the start of the full-scale invasion, he became more active in the chat rooms of Russian Telegram channels. There he praised Putin and supported the aggression of the Russian Federation.

Russian special services recruited a man through a popular messenger. At the behest of the enemy, he went around the city, secretly recorded the locations of the Defense Forces and handed them over to the Russians.

What will happen to the agent

The informant was detained in his own home. He was informed about the suspicion of illegal dissemination of information about the placement and movement of the Armed Forces. Such a crime is punishable by imprisonment for up to 20 years. The detainee is currently in custody.
