Details of the case

The intelligence operator was at home when someone started knocking on the door of his apartment. He did not want to open it, but the knocking intensified. When he left the apartment, the soldier saw two men and started arguing with them. The argument escalated into a fight. The owner of the apartment took out a gun and shot one of the guests twice at close range in the chest. At the trial, he stated that he did not remember all the circumstances, because the day before he had consumed alcohol and marijuana.

What the court decided

The accused pleaded guilty and stated that he repented of his act. At the same time, the panel of judges took into account the man's state of alcoholic and drug intoxication, as well as the fact that he committed the crime in the presence of a child. The soldier was sentenced to twelve years in prison.

It should be reminded, that a man was tried for the murder of his wife in the Kyiv region. In addition, a sentence was passed on a volunteer who shot a man in the middle of the street in Sumy.
