In the temporarily occupied Crimea, the enemy has deployed several S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems. The Russians are trying to rebuild their own air defences, but this will require substantial funding.

Military observer and reserve major Oleksii Hetman told about this on the We Are Ukraine TV channel.

S-400 in Crimea

The expert noted that the S-400 systems are almost impossible to detect when they are not working. The fact is that they do not emit electromagnetic waves. They can only be tracked during combat operations. Therefore, there is no accurate data on the number of systems.

"I think there are maybe three or four such complexes on the Crimean peninsula, hardly more than that," said Oleksii Hetman.

More expensive than Patriot

According to the analyst, Russia is currently unable to establish mass production of the S-400 systems. The cost of one such complex is $1.2 billion, which is even more expensive than the American Patriot system (approximately $1 billion).

"How many of these systems can they produce? The numbers are limited to single digits because it's an extremely costly piece of equipment. It requires advanced technologies and components that Russia cannot procure due to sanctions. I would estimate that they can produce no more than about a dozen per year," said Oleksii Hetman.

Earlier, we reported that the Crimean bridge was left unprotected. We also said that Russians are moving equipment from the occupied peninsula to the Zaporizhzhia direction.
