Italy will finance the reconstruction of the Odesa region

Italy is implementing several reconstruction projects in the Odesa region at once. This is primarily about the social field. Discussions are currently underway regarding specific objects.

This was reported on Facebook by the Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration of Ukraine – Minister for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine Oleksii Kuleba.

Aid from Italy

The Deputy Prime Minister met with the Italian Ambassador to Ukraine, Carlo Formosa. The parties discussed Rome's plans to implement projects in Odesa and the region.

"We are forming a meaningful portfolio of projects, which includes the modernization of medical infrastructure, irrigation of agricultural areas in the region, job creation through vocational education, protection of cultural heritage and development of urban planning," Oleksii Kuleba said.

The representatives of the two countries will hold technical meetings and agree on the details of the projects in the near future. Oleksii Kuleba also recalled that in a joint communiqué, Italy announced its patronage in the reconstruction of the city of Odesa and the region after the consequences of Russian aggression.
