On the morning of December 13, Russian occupants struck at Odesa district. Fortunately, people are alive and well. But the infrastructure of the transportation company suffered significant damage.

Novyny.LIVE journalists visited the scene.

Scale of destruction

The facility’s hangar has been destroyed, and the office building sustained severe damage. According to the company’s director, Oleksandr Shambalov, they have a well-established evacuation protocol. All employees left the premises immediately after hearing the air raid siren. However, they were unable to move five trucks in time. The vehicles now have shattered windshields and side windows, with damage to their exterior panels.

It will be difficult to calculate the losses today. The exact amount will be known later.

"We are like ants, we will always rebuild our hut. We will be working again by the evening," says Oleksandr Shambalov.

Not for the first time

According to Oleksandr Shambalov, this is not the first time that the company he heads has suffered from Russian strikes. However, he has no plans to shut down operations. This would mean giving in to the terrorists.

"My comrades say we should move out. But I say: when I move out, it means we have given up. And this is an example for everyone that you don't have to give up," says the company's director.

Morning attack

As a reminder, on the morning of Friday, December 13, Russians attacked Odesa region twice — first with drones and then with missiles. All targets were destroyed by Ukrainian air defense, but falling debris damaged civilian infrastructure. Fortunately, no people were injured.

Energy facilities were damaged as a result of a massive missile and drone strike in Ukraine. Emergency blackouts have been introduced in a number of regions, including Odesa.
