The MID carried out cat evacuation on Zmiinyi Island

Fighters of the "Tymur Special Unit" of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense evacuated fifteen cats and kittens from Zmiinyi Island. Thus, the intelligence agents saved the animals from the approaching winter frosts.
This was reported by the MID on Tuesday, November 26.
Operation "MID-CAT"
The intelligence agents, with the support of the MacPaw Foundation, took the cats to the "mainland". The animals were transferred to the "Sirius" shelter in the Kyiv region. It is considered one of the largest in Ukraine.
"After the adaptation of the cats rescued from the famous Zmiinyi Island, anyone who wants will have the opportunity to shelter one of them and get custody at the "Sirius" shelter, which is directly involved in adoption," the MID says.
Animal rights activists from reconnaissance
The reconnaissance officers said that this is not the first time they have saved animals. For example, this year, the military found hungry owlets locked in a cage in a destroyed house in the Kharkiv region. The birds were taken under care of the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov.
