Russian Gazprom promises to resume gas supplies to the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. However, it does not name the exact date or the route of supplies.

It is reported by Radio Svoboda.

What they say in the PMR

The so-called President of Transnistria, Vadim Krasnoselsky, said that Russians would resume supplies "in the near future".

"Gas will be supplied as humanitarian aid for the region’s heat and power generating companies, as well as industrial enterprises," he claimed.

At the same time, Krasnoselsky could not explain how and when Gazprom would supply gas.

What they say in Ukraine

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andrii Sybiha, in an interview with the European Pravda media outlet, called the transit of Russian gas to the PMR unacceptable.

"I believe that the transit of Russian gas is unacceptable. But now we are talking about the possibility of helping the Transnistrian region through joint actions of Ukraine and the EU. This is on the agenda," the official claimed.

As a reminder, industrial enterprises in Transnistria stopped working after Russian gas transit through Ukraine was stopped. The authorities declared a state of emergency and introduced rolling blackouts. Residents are to have their water cut off and are advised to heat themselves with firewood

Earlier, we reported that the self-proclaimed authorities of the PMR are afraid to accept aid from Moldova, Ukraine, or the European Union, as this could undermine their authority. Also, the Odesa Regional Military Administration said that they were ready to accept refugees from Transnistria.
