Over 3.5 thousand vessels have visited the ports of Odesa region since the Ukrainian sea corridor was opened. Not only grain is transported, but also other goods. Many companies have expressed a desire to return to Odesa.

This was stated on the air of Novyny.LIVE by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper.

The head of the region recalled that after the Russians disrupted the agreement on the grain corridor, the Ukrainian military independently organized escort of merchant ships. This encouraged foreign companies to work in the Odesa region. Currently, many of them are planning to return to work in Odesa ports. These include German and French companies.

"Today, for commercial organizations, Odesa remains one of the main gates of our logistics strategy. Today, many companies are considering returning. This is not an easy process," said Oleg Kiper.

As a reminder, in 2024, the state budget received more than $5 billion from sunflower oil exports alone. We also reported how much agricultural products were exported from Odesa region last year. Over 11 months, more than 90 million tons of grain and other goods were exported via the sea corridor.
