Destroyed school, homes and enterprise — Odesa under night attack
On the night of November 8, Russians attacked Odesa and Odesa district with attack drones. Civilian infrastructure was damaged. One person has been reported dead.
This was reported by the Odesa Regional Military Administration, the city mayor's office and the State Emergency Service.
What is known about the victims
The State Emergency Service reports that, according to available information, one person was killed in the city and the suburbs. According to preliminary information, it is a man born in 1978. He was driving the vehicle at the time of the attack.
Eight people were wounded. Six were hospitalized. Psychologists helped fifteen residents, including a 91-year-old pensioner, a child and a pregnant woman. Law enforcement officers are recording the consequences of another Russian crime against civilians.
Destruction and fires
Private residential buildings were damaged in Odesa and the region. Two of them caught fire. In addition, the warehouses and cars of one of the companies were on fire. Representatives of the Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ukraine and a firefighting unit of the National Guard helped the SES extinguish the flames.
Shrapnel also caused two gas pipes to leak and catch fire. Windows were smashed in many buildings.
The school was damaged
One of the oldest schools in Odesa, Lyceum No. 125, sustained significant damage. Windows were smashed, furniture and doors were destroyed, and the roof and heating system were damaged. Fortunately, the guards who were in the school managed to get down to the shelter in time.
The Department of Education and Science noted that the school had been fully renewed before the full-scale invasion.
