Attacks by the Ukrainian Armed Forces on Russian warships have decreased. This is the result of previous successful attacks on the Black Sea Fleet of the aggressor by Ukrainian defenders.

This was stated by the commander of the DIU's special unit Group 13 with the call sign Thirteen on the air of the "We are Ukraine" TV channel.

Driven to the bases

According to the military, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is currently completely blocked and does not fulfill its functions. This is due to the fact that the Russians are afraid to use the ships in order not to come under attack from the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

"Remember when they blocked the grain corridor, when our port infrastructure was completely blocked? Now we have done it to them," explains Thirteen.

Benefits for Ukraine

Not only can the Russians not use the fleet to attack Ukraine, but they also spend huge amounts of money to maintain the ships that are idle at the bases. After all, ships need to be repaired and maintained, and sailors need to be fed.

"I miss the days when you could go out and catch something on the high seas, it's exciting and interesting — but now we're reaping what we sowed", noted Thirteen.

Which Russian ships were destroyed by Ukraine

Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine has successfully destroyed several important enemy ships, including the Moskva missile cruiser, Askold small missile corvette, Ivanovets missile boat, Serpukhov corvette, and Rostov-on-Don submarine. These victories were key to weakening Russia's presence in the Black Sea.

Earlier, we reported how many Russian ships remained in Crimea. It also became known why the enemy is training to evacuate the fleet from Novorossiysk.
