Property developer mutilated UNESCO heritage in Odesa
The owners of the premises on Olhiivska Street, 21, received fines twice for illegal construction in the middle of the yard. This did not stop them, and the work began a third time. Thanks to the intervention of the State Architectural and Construction Inspection of Ukraine, they were able to stop it.
This was reported by the head of the city department of the State Architectural and Construction Inspection of Ukraine, Oleksandr Avdeev.
Brazen property developers
The owners of the apartment started the construction of an additional floor right in the middle of the yard back in 2018. Then the work was stopped due to violations. They tried to do this again during the full-scale invasion. Thus, the client was fined twice — for 10.2 thousand UAH and 1.7 thousand UAH.
"Furthermore, the Ministry for Communities, Territories and Infrastructure Development of Ukraine agreed to inspect the implementation of the requirements of the above-mentioned regulations. The requirements were not met, for which we again imposed a fine on him. Currently, construction work is not being carried out," Oleksandr Avdeev said.
Other illegal structures in Odesa
The State Architectural and Construction Inspection of Ukraine conducted 15 unscheduled inspections and imposed a fine of 351.5 thousand UAH in November. At the same time, 272.5 thousand UAH must be paid by a legal entity. Despite the moratorium, the institution achieved the cessation of several illegal works, having received the appropriate permit from the Ministry of Regional Development.
It should be recalled that the scandal regarding the construction of a high-rise building near an inclusive beach continues in Odesa. The city is also fighting over the future of the territory of the former sanatorium "Chervoni zori".
